![]() I've attached some more assets for testing, some screenshots of the results I got and the expected result I get in Unity. I double checked every step but couldn't find any issues with it. Import FBX to Substance Designer/Painter, select tangent basis + OpenGL orientation, setup baker with high poly model, bake. Our workflow is as follows: Author 3d model in Blender, triangulate, smooth model, export FBX/GLB with tangents. Possibly, most users avoid normal mapping to reduce download size? I agree, I don't understand why there aren't more reports either. Currently, they are silently dropped which can't be the expected behaviour for anyone who explicitly exports their assets with tangents. For now, it would be sufficient to always import tangents, if there are any in the FBX. ![]() An import option would make sense if there were multiple options such as a) generate MikkTSpace tangents in the editor or b) import existing tangents from the fbx.
